Reuters Will Not Report the Truth & Europe Depends on Russian Oil & Gas
An expert data scientist working for Reuters was fired in June 2020 because he accurately pointed out, in an internal e-mail, that the Black Lives Matter leaders were spouting lies about crime in the USA.
His story - a man who wrote a truthful internal e-mail - was published in City Journal 16 months later. It is a fact that the BLM leaders were (a) mostly criminals and (b) what they said was false - incendiary and false. Two billion dollars in damages, at least 10 people murdered in BLM riots, and largely due to false statements, shouted over and over, about how blacks were being killed by white police all the time.
Reuters adopted a narrative that promoted a naïve, left-wing narrative about Black Lives Matter and failed to provide accurate context—which is particularly egregious because, unlike obviously left-leaning outlets such as the New York Times, Reuters has a reputation as a source of objective news reporting.
Indeed, I used to think Reuters was a fairly balanced and reasonably accurate news organization. No longer. Reuters now is pretty much the same as New York Times: highly biased and perfectly willing to publish lies which support the Democratic Party and/or hurt the Republican Party.

Bari Weiss, has published yet another good essay about how so-called Green Energy has been a failure and has resulted in shoveling vast amounts of wealthy into the hands of V. Putin and his band of thieving billionaire cronies.
Green Delusions Empowered Putin.
Putin knows that Europe produces 3.6 million barrels of oil a day but uses 15 million barrels of oil a day. Putin knows that Europe produces 230 billion cubic meters of natural gas a year but uses 560 billion cubic meters. He knows that Europe uses 950 million tons of coal a year but produces half that. He knows Russia produces 11 million barrels of oil per day but only uses 3.4 million. He knows Russia now produces over 700 billion cubic meters of gas a year but only uses around 400 billion. Russia mines 800 million tons of coal each year but uses 300.
The Europeans today import most of the oil and natural gas which Russia exports. The Europeans have helped pay for Russia’s military, while they closed their nuclear power plants (not France) and spent tens of billions on solar and wind which - on average - produces less than 10% of Europe’s yearly energy (adding biomass energy and Europe generates 20% of its energy from renewables).
In 2016, 30% of the natural gas consumed by the European Union came from Russia. In 2018, that figure jumped to 40%. By 2020, it was nearly 44 percent, and by early 2021, it was nearly 47%.
Windpower and Solar power can only be the basis of a national electrical system if there exists a massive electrical power storage system - and this cannot be batteries! Some other method must be built - today - which allows the efficient storage of at least one full week of electrical power for the entire nation. Batteries are not cost-effective now and they would need to drop in price by a factor of about one million before you could use them to store the massive amount of power required by modern economies.
